2. Re-create Josef Müller-Brockmann Automobile Poster

Before you create your own Swissted Poster, have a crack at replicating the poster below using a modular grid.
In the folder you will find an A4 Photoshop document with the 7×7 modular grid.

What to do

– Go to your DropBox and in the “9- SWISS STYLE AND GRID SYSTEMS” folder you will find “Modular Grid Template With Bike smaller”
Open this file into Photoshop
You can also find this in the Teams folder here

Once you have opened the Photoshop file, reproduce the poster on the left, the background of the bike has been already included.

Poster Content

– Small-sized red San Serif font (Arial)
“Automobile-Club de Suisse”
– Medium-size white San Serif font
“protégez l’enfant”
– yellow rectangle (bottom)
– a child running (black and white)

– Use the character window to select the correct typeface and colours

– Use the modular grid to ensure your design is arranged correctly

Re-Create Smiths Gig Poster – Layer Blending

This task is all about layer blending.

– Download and save the Smiths Poster PSD into your DropBox

– An “S” has been included. Duplicate to create 3 in total (ctrl+J)

– Use the layer blending (Linear Burn) to blend the three S’s together

– Use the character window to select the correct typeface and colours

– Use the modular grid to arrange the typography.
